A teleconference including up to three medical professionals, to discuss a number of listed questions relating to a particular therapeutic area
In conjunction with our medical advisers, we ask the sponsor to submit 10 to 12 qustions, in addition to two suggested opinion leaders in the appropriate field. These questions are joined with a similar number from our own advisers. Family Medicine appoints a Chairperson from the editorial board (either a GP or Consultant) who submits the questions to the participants, not more than 12 hours in advance of the debate. This ensures spontaneity and a lively, relevant debate. After the teleconference, the tapes are transcribed and edited for publication in the next available issue of Family Medicine.
The basic, all inclusive cost for two participants and chairperson is £9500. For three participants and a chairperson the cost is £11950. The above options include publication in one issue of Family Medicine with a minimum of three editorial pages. For publication in two issues, with a minimum of six pages, the flat cost equates to £14500.
This is dependent on participants, but we estimate and recommend, a gestation period of no longer than six weeks.
