Clinical advances in drug discovery
(CADD)
What is a CADD?
A high quality, fully referenced publication discussing clinical trial data,
details of supplementary research and its relation to evidence-based medicine.
Main reason to choose a CADD?
- To educate GPs and hospital doctors about the background and development of
a specific drug
- To provide information about a new drug's USPs
The rules
- A brief is discussed between the client and staff at Family Medicine,
including an outline of topics, potential authors and eidtorial.
- Up to four articles are then commissioned. Once the authors have accepted,
they have six weeks to submit their article, whish is then fully referenced and
submitted to the client for assessment
- Following amendments, laser proofs are submitted to the client for medical
approval. Medical approval may result in further amendments, which will be made
within 48 hours
- In summary, 10 to 12 weeks should be allowed from confirmation of the
brief to publication. The supplement is then distributed to GPs in an issue of
Family Medicine.
